Welcome
to ARPwave Boston at Marchese sports therapy. ARP is an acronym
which stands for Accelerated Recovery Performance.
Accelerated:
An increase in the rate of change; the act of accelerating, increased
speed; a rate of increased velocity. (Princeton)
Recovery:
Return to an original state; gradual healing after sickness or
injury; the act of regaining a savings something lost. (Princeton)
Performance:
The act of performing; of doing something successfully; any recognized
accomplishment; operation: process or manner of functioning or
operating. (Princeton)
At Marchese
sports therapy the ARP device is used as an integral part of
a treatment system designed to return the patient to an optimal
functional level in the shortest allowable period of time. Yes,
I said, "shortest allowable period of time." This seems
very counter to the current atmosphere of rehabilitative medicine
where it seems you have to go for three, six, nine months in order
to have the same thing done over and over and over again and, hopefully
(eventually), you start to feel better regardless. Really? How many
ways can you cook a hot pack, or stretch a hamstring, or even throw
a ball against a trampoline? Are you one-on-one with your caregiver,
or one of five others being treated at the same time? You should
demand more from your caregiver for your recovery from injury or
maintenance of your health. The ARPwave helps get to the cause of
the injury, and doesn't waste time with chasing symptoms, making
effective use of your precious time.
Common
conditions treated
using the ARP device
include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Upper extremity
injuries and pain (finger, hands, forearm, elbow, bicep, tricep,
rotator cuff, and other shoulder conditions, nerve entrapments)
- Back pain

- Torso pain
and injuries (thoracic spine, lumbar spine, ribs, and sternum,
clavicle, abdominal muscle, and oblique muscle)
- Pelvic pain
and injuries (sacroiliac joints, sacrum, coccyx, and related musculature)

Whether you
are seeking an option for recovery from an existing injury or ailment,
all looking to prevent injuries and ailments from occurring, theARP
wave at Marchese sports therapy is without a doubt for you.
What
makes ARPWave different?
ARP
is different from other types of electrotherapy. One key to the
ARP's uniqueness is it's waveform which allows the electrical current
to penetrate deep within the tissues being treated. A number instant
combination of electrical frequencies. And yet another is the ability
to put the patient in motion during treatment.
Safe and Effective
The ARP has
many advantages over all other electrical devices. The main advantage
is it is harmonious with the body and it does not signal the nervous
system to protect by concentricly contracting muscle. This allows
the patient to move during treatment, thus reducing the pain reflex.
Patient improvement is often noticed after the very first treatment.
